Jana's Journey

I've given in.  I'm waving the white flag.  I too have succumbed to the “bloggitis” that has so severely hit our generation.  But, as any soon-to-be-addict would readily argue, I feel as though I have good reason to enter the vast world of blogging.  Chances are you, as my soon-to-be-faithful-blog-reader, are somehow invested in my life.  You may be family, a friend, or just a Jana Ogg fan, but either way if you even know of me you know of my amazing dream job as the, drum roll please, Assistant Director of Collegiate Mobilization for Catalyst Missions.  Sounds fancy, I know.  Reality is it's just an awesome job working for The Man Upstairs leading mission trips across the world.  Don't get jealous just yet.  In order to have said dream job, I must raise funds in order to keep myself off the streets and in the saddle.  I firmly believe the kind, generous, and amazing people who believe in me enough to reach into their pocketbooks each month receive just as many blessings as I do for taking the Good News around the world.  I like to call them "proxy missionaries".  The problem is, these kind, generous, and amazing "proxy missionaries" don't always get to hear about these blessings that are rightfully theirs.  I am, believe it or not, actually human and thus consistently fail at communicating with you all as I should.  Enter in stage right-The Solution, played by This Blog.  Now, for the low, low price of typing in this address, you can read about my trips, travels, and general updates.  But wait!!! Read this today and I'll throw in my random thoughts and "God Moments" derived from those little everyday moments that make up what we like to call life.  What a deal!!!  So... whether you want to know where your missions money is going, you have the distinct pleasure of being related to me, or you're just bored at work, I invite you to join me for the next chapter of Jana's Journey.

Hi, Wonderful Granddaughter!
So great to hear from you via my trusty computer. Notice, I didn't say trusty DSL! An AT&T technician has been out all afternoon, having just left ten minutes ago, trying to figure out why my DSL is so unstable. He went all the way back to Hardee's to their main electrical for this area, and bottom line, I'm just too far from main lines to keep a steady DSL connection. Having thought I just needed more "power," I had recently upgraded to a higher speed. Again, bottom line: he says it won't do any good, to save my money. So, at a DSL snail's pace, I will hear from your travels and otherwise journeys. Keep up the good work; I am so proud of you.

Love you,
Nana

Hi, Jana!
It's been awhile since you entered into the blog community, and I just wondered how it's working. I am so proud of you and the Kingdom work you are doing. Keep it up, and know that our Lord is keeping the record (this, for when you get weary of the journey). Just know how much I love you and that I am praying for you.
